The IWC Aquatimer Chronograph Edition “Galapagos Islands” (Ref. IW379502) is a bold and purpose-built dive watch that pays tribute to the unique ecosystem of the Galapagos Islands, as part of IWC’s partnership with the Charles Darwin Foundation. This special edition features a 44mm stainless steel case coated in black vulcanized rubber, creating a rugged, matte finish that’s both distinctive and functional. The black dial is equipped with bold luminous markers and hands, ensuring maximum legibility underwater or in low light conditions.

The chronograph is powered by the IWC-manufactured Caliber 89365, an automatic flyback movement with a 68-hour power reserve. It includes a 60-minute counter at 12 o’clock and a small seconds subdial at 6 o’clock. True to its diving heritage, the watch offers 300 meters of water resistance and features the SafeDive external/internal bezel system, which prevents accidental rotation during dives. A black rubber strap with pin buckle completes the utilitarian aesthetic.
