1. Detailed description of goods and/or services
The Watch Channel is a business in the second-hand retail industry that buys and sells pre-owned luxury watches.
2. Delivery policy
Delivery is subject to availability and receipt of payment, payments will be processed within 5 working days and delivery confirmed by way phone call, WhatsApp or email. Please note that goods will not be couriered without receipt of payment. Once payment is received, your order will be processed and couriered within 3 days. Please note delivery time frame is country dependent.
3. Export Policy
Kindly note that we do ship internationally. Please note that prices do not include South African VAT. International customers will need to pay import tax where applicable.
4. Warranty Policy:
a. Water Damage
The Watch Channel reserves the rights to refuse a return or refund if water/liquid damage has occurred. Even though timepieces have water resistant levels, it is advisable not to dive, swim, shower and/or submerge your timepiece in water (Unless the model in question is manufactured for deep sea diving and has secure water resistant elements used in correct procedure). Any existing warranty provided by The Watch Channel will be null and void if water damage occurs.
c. Important Information
Please note that our warranty covers manufacturing and mechanical defects only.
Our warranty is subject to the same terms and conditions as the manufacturer warranty. The standard manufacturer warranty does not cover theft or loss of the watch. Also excluded is Normal wear-and-tear or damage caused by accidents or mishandling/mistreatment of the watch, as well as damage caused due to water submersion, against the manufacturer’s guidance. In particular, the warranty does not cover wear of the watch strap/bracelet.
Any modification of a watch by the addition or substitution of components by aftermarket products not provided by the manufacturer will also invalidate the warranty. Use of aftermarket components can severely compromise the technical performance, reliability, and waterproofness of the watch.
The warranty is in addition to your statutory and common law rights. Should it be revealed upon diagnostics of the timepiece that apparent negligence is evident (with regards to the functionality of the watch), the policy may be subject to incur additional costs to restore piece back to optimal viability.
c. Refund and Returns Policy
You may return the timepiece to The Watch Channel under the following conditions:
- It is unworn and undamaged
- The amount refunded to you is liable to cover the handling fees, shipping fees, import & duty fees (if applicable) and card fees incurred by your returned purchase.
- Any timepiece that fails quality inspections (scratches, worn & damaged, functionality) will be returned to you and a partial refund will be given.
- Should the timepiece not be returned with the following; there will be fees involved to cover the charges of excluded items if applicable
– Warranty Card (The Watch Channel 12-month warranty card)
– Box and papers (either original box and warranty papers or The Watch Channel brand) - If the timepiece was purchased on a rubber strap and the straps were sized (cut), the timepiece will not be returnable at the same value it was purchased.
Once received and inspected, a credit/refund will be issued for all timepieces meeting the 7 day guarantee provisions. The credit will be issued on the card upon which payment has been made. If you choose to exchange your item outside of the 7 day refund policy, a refund or exchange value will be at the discretion of the Watch Channel.
5. Customer Privacy Policy
The Watch Channel shall take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information of users. For the purpose of this clause, “personal information” shall be defined as detailed in the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA). The PAIA may be downloaded from: http://www.lawsofsouthafrica.up.ac.za/index.php/current-legislation.
6. Payment options accepted
Payment may be made via Visa and MasterCard. Alternatively, you may reach out to our sales consultants if you wish to make payment via cash, PayPal, or EFT.
7. Card acquiring and security
Card transactions will be acquired for The Watch Channel via PayGate (Pty) Ltd who are the approved payment gateway for all South African Acquiring Banks. PayGate uses the strictest form of encryption, namely Secure Socket Layer 3 (SSL3) and no Card details are stored on the website. Users may go to www.paygate.co.za to view their security certificate and security policy.
8. Customer details separate from card details
Customer details will be stored by The Watch Channel separately from card details which are entered by the client on PayGate’s secure site. For more detail on PayGate refer to www.paygate.co.za.
9. Merchant Outlet country and transaction currency
The merchant outlet country at the time of presenting payment options to the cardholder is South Africa. Transaction currency is South African Rand (ZAR).
10. Responsibility
The Watch Channel takes responsibility for all aspects relating to the transaction including sale of goods and services sold on this website, customer service and support, dispute resolution and delivery of goods.
11. Country of domicile
This website is governed by the laws of South Africa and The Watch Channel chooses as its domicilium citandi et executandi for all purposes under this agreement, whether in respect of court process, notice, or other documents or communication of whatsoever nature: 11 Alice Lane (1st floor, Bowmans Building), Sandhurst, Sandton, 2196.
12. Variation
The Watch Channel may, in its sole discretion, change this agreement or any part thereof at any time without notice.
13. Company information
This website is run by private company based in South Africa trading as The Watch Channel and with registration number 2020/019962 and with two directors, Ran Loupo and Adam Woolf.

May & June Gifting : Terms and Conditions
- The gifting vouchers is open to residents of South Africa aged 18 years and over, except employees of The Luxury Channel, The Diamond Channel, The Watch Channel, and their close relatives and anyone otherwise connected with the organization.
- The Gifting vouchers will run from 22 May – 30 June 2024.
- In order to receive the voucher, participants must make a purchase of R10,000 or more on a single transaction from any of the three websites: The Luxury Channel, The Diamond Channel, or The Watch Channel.
- Each qualifying purchase will then receive a R2000 Life day spa voucher.
- The voucher is a luxury spa voucher from Life Day Spa to the value of R2000, valid for 3 months ONLY from date of issue, The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or other products.
- The Voucher will be an emailed voucher.
