The Cockpit name may not command the recognition as the likes of the Chronomat, Navitimer, and SuperOcean, but its bold styling and robust construction mean it has every right to be utter in the same sentence. Measuring 39mm in width, this stainless steel polished watch delivers a wonderful amount of stylistic practicality. Proportionally, it’s a contemporary masterclass on the wrist, with the externals of the watch being dominated by its rotating bezel in polished steel carrying italic font and recognizable rider tabs borrowed from the Chronomat. On the topic of borrowing, the large onion style crown is again on loan from the Chronomat, delivering a sense of familiarity that cleverly appeals.

The dial of this Cockpit is simple, clean, and unmistakably Breitling. A vertical chronograph layout that is a signature of Breitling comes courtesy of the B13 movement. Large luminous hands, hour markers, and date aperture distinguish this piece from its competitors. Both the winged Breitling logo on the dial and the Breitling B logo on the second-hand counterbalance also appear.
