Perrelet Turbine Chronograph A1079/1 47mm

The iconic Turbine collection from Perrelet incorporates a major watchmaking complication with the chronograph function, once again demonstrating the technical expertise of the brand. In addition to the complication itself, the design of the Turbine models from Perrelet makes it difficult to integrate this functionality at an aesthetic level. In this sense, Perrelet has undertaken a significant exercise in abstraction, achieving a perfect visualization of the chronograph without the owner of this unique piece having to give up the spectacularism of the turbine, which continues to dominate the space of the watch face.

The chronograph in this automatic watch is operated from two pushers on either side of the crown. The second hand of the watch also measures the seconds in the chronograph, but for the recording of the minutes, a totally innovative solution has been designed: a graduated mobile disc rotates in the center of the watch face, while a fixed peripheral ring, with an arrow inscribed with “MIN,” marks the minutes that are being timed with the usual precision in Perrelet watches. This watch incorporates Perrelet’s own P-361 caliber, which also allows for control of the date display, located at 6 o’clock. It is a movement developed by Perrelet and composed of a total of 175 pieces and incorporates 41 rubies. The P-361 caliber beats at 28,800 alternations per hour (4Hz) and provides the watch with a total of 42 hours of power reserve.
