The Chronometer Geomatic Ref. E399, is a masterpiece from the 1960s by the prestigious Jaeger-LeCoultre. It is a beautiful chronometer-certified automatic watch equipped with the K881 G caliber with a diameter of 36.5 mm. Jaeger LeCoultre has always been on the cutting edge of watchmaking technology, and this certified chronometer watch is no different because the Geomatic is a model that pursues precision. The Geomatic was originally released in 1961 in Steel, Yellow or Rose Gold, in a very limited number of pieces. It is estimated only 2 000 Geomatic watches were produced despite its outstanding performance, because the movement was not as thick as it could have been when it was first introduced in 1961.
The version you see here is powered by the caliber K881G automatic movement, which fits very well in a slim steel case. The beautiful silver dial also features a date window and long elegant lugs. The screwed back of the watch bears the Geomatic seal in gold. This watch is an excellent example of performance and beauty. This particular model is increasingly difficult to find in Stainless Steel.
