Cartier Panthére Vendome 23mm 166920 (1990’s)

The Cartier Panthere Vendome watch is a combination of two Cartier designs: the Panthere, a panther that Cartier has used as a recurring and iconic symbol and the Vendome, the famous square in Paris. The panther has been a symbol of Cartier since 1914, when the brand created a bracelet with diamonds and onyx inspired by the animal’s fur. In 1983, Cartier introduced the Panthere watch, which was designed to be glamorous, elegant and which was favored by a mass of famous celebrities. The Vendome, named after the famous square in Paris, Place Vendome, is a hotspot for celebrities and high society. The Cartier Panthere Vendome watch was born from the combination of these two designs to give a different appeal to an ongoing classic, whilst still offering something new and exciting to the wearer.
